Watched: The Great Mouse Detective

Another one I loved as a kid. It's still cute even now. I never realized as a kid how man references there are in this thing to both the literary and the film Sherlock Holmes, including the fact that the little mouse Sherlock (here named Basil, as in Basil Rathbone, actor with one of the most famous portrayals of the detective) lives under the floorboards of the man detective. Or that he uses the detective's dog while the human doppelganger is out solving crimes. Or that their paths intersect multiple times throughout the film as they work on parallel cases. Anyway it's charming.
